NUTELLA BRIGADEIROS

NUTELLA BRIGADEIROS

Or nutella fudge? This classic brazilian dessert is so so good and so easy to make!

I was so obsessed with the Dulce de leche or, actually the Churro Brigadeiro. The amazing creaminess and flavors, I wanted to try many many more flavor combos using the same base.

With that in mind, I started investigating. I went through many many instagram accounts of brazilian shops that sold so many flavors and desserts! The photos just looked unbelievable. If there was a way to walk into my phone screen and try each and every one of those desserts, I would.

After that, I looked through, I think every single pinterest post about Brigadeiros as well. Looking for different recipes in english, spanish and even portuguese in case that showed me more options.

The combinations and flavors you can make with a similar base are endless. With fillings, combining flavors, filled with fruit or other types of chocolate.

This is a really basic recipe! A simple nutella brigadeiro. I covered it in cocoa powder mixed with a bit of sugar. You can try that or cover them with the classic chocolate sprinkles.

With this recipe as a base, you can make SO MANY desserts! Fill them up with extra nutella of use the brigadeiro as a cookie filling for example.

EQUIPMENT:

Cooking pot: You’ll be making the entire recipe in this! Make sure to use very low heat!

Wooden spoon: I like to use a wooden spoon for this recipe. I think it’s more comfortable and I can scrape the sides while cooking without worrying about scratching the pot.

Plate or Bowl: Once you’re done with the mixture, pour everything onto a plate or bowl to cool down.

Plastic wrap: Covering the bowl keeps the flavor fresh!

That’s it! Very few ingredients and very few things to wash when you’re done! GREAT!

TIP: If, when making the balls, the mixture sticks to your hands too much, Take a little bit of butter and butter your palms.
