CHURRO BRIGADEIRO

CHURRO BRIGADEIRO

Or Dulce de Leche Fudge!

It was very very late at a friends wedding, me and my husband remembered we had’t eaten anything sweet yet. We both have an extremely sweet tooth so we immediately went looking for the dessert table.

There were a few things left on the table. Some cookies, a few half eaten cakes and these tiny balls. I have tried brigadeiros before and enjoyed them enough so I just took a few of the chocolate ones and a few light brown ones I didn’t recognize.

The light brown brigadeiros were OUT OF THIS WORLD! So creamy and sweet with a hint of cinnamon. Delicious.

The flavor stuck to my head.

Fast forward a few months and you find me in quarantine CRAVING these beautiful and delicious babies. So, with the flavor in mind I started experimenting.

Let me tell you, if you like CHURROS, with dulce de leche or caramel, you will LOVE these!

INGREDIENTS:

The ingredients for this classic brazilian dessert are

Condensed Milk

Dulce de leche

Butter

After the mixture cools down, you shape them and roll them on sugar mixed with cinnamon.

Five simple ingredients!

TIP:

To make the balls without the mixture sticking too much to your hands, take a tiny bit of butter and roll that on your palms before you start.

EQUIPMENT:

Cooking pot or pan: You’ll be cooking the mixture until it becomes creamy!

Bowl or plate: After cooking the mixture, transfer it to a plate or bowl to cool down and chill in the fridge.

Extra plate: My recommendation is to use another plate for the sugar and cinnamon instead of a bowl. It makes rolling the balls easier.

Spoon: Wooden spoon to stir the mixture while cooking and another regular spoon to scoop the mixture when making the balls.
